What's New with The Band?
Hey! United We Fall are playing at The Vic in Swindon on Friday the 14th of January, so come down. The night will start at about 8.
Next gig is at The Furnace on December 2nd at the New College Battle of the Bands! Hopefully see you there, should be a great night.
Bonfire night, November 5th at The Vic was an amazing gig, the best sound United We Fall have ever got. All was recieved extremley well, thanks to Daryll Martin for organising it, sorry for Still Bust having to pull out, hope the drummer gets better soon.
The Furnace gig back on October 14th was a great night, a big turn out and it went down really well. Shamefully, Mini got absolutely wasted and can't remember the night much to his regret, and has made a pact not to drink (as much) before playing gigs from now on..... This may last a week, maybe two.
United We Fall have got a new gig date, on Friday the 10th of September come down to Area 51 in Stratton, United We Fall will be headlining, playing along with My Audio Heroes, Nana's Revenge and Pay Dirt. Opening times are the usual opening times at Area 51, so try and get there for 7:30 to 8:00, we'll hopefully see you there!
United We Fall are also playing at The Polish Club (Queens Drive in Park South) on the 18th of September alongside Any Day Now and Broken Daylight, it's bound to be a great night so if you can make it down, then feel free to come check it out.
The Riffs Bar gig back on July 30th was a great gig with a good turn out, thanks to Riffs Bar and Rat Daddy. The band played one of they're new songs not on the album with Mini Flett playing the keyboard with a violin/ orchestral sound; a mellow song, if you want to hear it then come down to one of they're next gigs (none lined up apart from Furnace October 14th at the moment, although more will be arranged before this).
Reminder - THE ALBUM "Another Heart Stained By Hate" IS OUT NOW !!!!!! It costs £5, which includes 13 original, copyrighted tracks, and is available from the band at gigs, or if you e- mail us at unitedwefall@hotmail.com then you can place a request, or discuss mail order on the album. Sorry for the delays, we hope it's worth the wait!
The album STILL isn't out, you may be getting a bit annoyed, but reassure yourself with the fact that we are annoyed aswell, as the graphics company who are supposed to be printing off the lyric book and back cover are taking as long as they possibly can to get it done.. Hopefully it will be out within a month though, so hang tight and check it when it finally comes out. It is called "Another Heart Stained by Hate" and will still cost £5, if you want to buy a copy then see us at a gig posted on the site, or e-mail the band at unitedwefall@hotmail.com.
Monday the 31st May.... What can I say, two gigs in one day, something was bound to go wrong, wasn't it ?? It started off OK, everyone but Gary arriving with time to spare at Riffstock, so we give Gary a call, asking where he is, and he's on his way.. Next thing we hear he's had a car crash with his girlfriend, and there's panic and missbelief throughout Riffs Bar, no-one was quite sure what was going on, and obviously very worried about how Gary and his girlfriend were. ForeStoryComplex unfortunately had to pull out from playing Riffstock, and now United We Fall were'nt going to be able to play, it was looking a bit of a disaster, but the other band showed up who played first, and Mini filled in his first ever acoustic gig which went very well, and then Air Balloon successfully concluded our dramatised 2nd Riffstock experience.. That night at Area 51 with Ducktape, Mini decided to go acoustic again, and the singer (Rob) from Any Day Now came down, and ended up also playing a very good acoustic set. Crazy day.
Ok, Ok, I know... I kind of.. didn't bother to update the site and since have mostly forgot the low down on the last load of gigs, but they were all generally cool - the three at Polish Club getting better as they went, and the one back at Ice Bar really good as ever.
News on the album !?!?!?!? All has been recorded over 4 - 5 days, and the 13 tracks are almost ready for release... The debut album "Another Heart Stained By Hate" should be on sale within the next few weeks, costing £5. The reason it isn't out yet is because it is currently having a proffesionally made 8 page lyric book being made (at a further cost of £280 !!) So, get in contact and prepare for the album, hopefully it will be on sale soon at gigs...
Up coming dates :
Friday 28th May, United We Fall are set to play in Cricklade, but I really don't have much info on that at the moment, so I'm going to have to get back to you when I can update with times etc..
Monday the 31st of May, this forth coming bank holiday weekend will be a crazy one !! United We Fall will be taking part for they're second year running at Riff's Bar's famous "Riffstock Festival", a great weekend with lots of great bands taking part, so if you're interested in coming down early afternoon ish to see UWF, Fore Story Complex and other bands on the Monday (or other great bands on the Saturday and Sunday), then come down Riffs Bar. And if that's not enough for you, come later on that evening to Area 51 to see United We Fall play alongside Ducktape, bound to be a crazy night. This will be United We Fall's first time of playing Area 51, so should be pretty cool.
New song on the way, the first new song since the album is almost finished, so look out and see if you can catch it at one of the forthecoming gigs !!
Mini (me) is currently in hospital on a drip, been coughin up blood and everything, and diagnosed with pneumonia. It's scary stuff, stayed in hospital last night and will be staying here tonight aswell, so wish me luck for the studio in three days time !! It's quite worrying, but we'll sort something out, Mini may have to go in to the studio at a further date. Lets hope I get better soon, and I'll see you all soon...
United We Fall were set to play The Furnace in Swindon on Febuary 26th and Bath on the 27th, but both of these gigs were cancelled due to Mini's ill health. Obviously Mini is devastated along with the rest of the band, but hopefully all will be well with the bands next gig at Ice Bar in Swindon on March 22nd, so try coming along to support them back on their way for a load of gigs lined up.
April 4th is a must see for everyone, it's a huge battle of the bands at Megabowl in Swindon, with people from Kerrang! and Radio 1 there checking out the action, so come along !! Sadly, most of UWF's usual fans are unable to go, so we need as many of you as possible to come along, the judging system being based 60% music, 40% crowd, so get your mates to come along and lets see if we can get United We Fall through to the final. Entry is £4, and as it's a Sunday night, alcahol is cheap !!! More reason to go, although bring I.D. if pos beacuse I think they might be on the lookout.
There's about three Polish Club gigs coming up, we still have to find out the dates again though... I know one is early April and One late April, but we'll post it on the site as soon as we know..
Also, finally, United We Fall are playin Riffs Bar on the 7th of April with Sucka from Reading, and 12th May with ForeStoryComplex and Air Balloon, so they should both be really good gigs. Come along and enjoy the atmosphere, the wall through the middle has been knocked down (if you know Riffs bar already), so that should be a cool new atmosphere, hopefully see you there...
United We Fall are playing Furnace !!! After much wait, United We Fall will be playing at The Furnace in Swindon on Febuary 26th at a battle of the bads, many other bands playing along with AnyDayNow.. Tickets can be bought from the Rollerston and and The Vic, it should be a great night, I can't wait !! Hopefully see you there !
And if that's not enough, United We Fall are playing in Bath the next day (Febuary 27th) !! We're hiring out a Barnes coach to go there and back, it costs £5 on a first come first serve basis, spaces decreasing all the time, so hurry up !! If you want to e - mail me about it all or anything, minime133@hotmail.com, I'll try and reserve people on the list or something if you can't pay in advance.
Friday, January 30th was a great gig at the Polish club, the second time United We Fall have played there, last time being a great success with AnyDayNow and other great bands; sound levels proved tough, Mini struggling to be heard, but it all worked out well in the end, headlining, United We Fall surprised at the large support, it was a really good night, despite of the frustration of guest lists and limited spaces, it all well together in the end..
But most importantly, they are heading back to the studio to record an album sort of thing... It was supposed to be December 29th and 30th, but due to problems is being changed to a later date, possibly Febuary latest... The album is set to be around/ over 12 original tracks, a couple off of the old E.P, possibly re- recorded if need be.. Mini is going acoustic in at least one song, introducing his solo stuff which he is set on recording another album of his own in the near future, so look out for that too (info will be posted on this site..). The coming United We Fall album should hopefully do a bit more for the band, introducing the new more hardcore/ melodic sound...
The mp3.com link has failed I think, if you still want any of the songs then it's going to be tricky now, as signing up for a new account costs money now, so the whole things being a right bitch. Sorry !
Sometime in March, United We Fall wil be playing at the Ice Bar in town, which should be quite good stuff, playing with a solo guitar/ vocalist and another new band we don't know of yet, but when we have more info we'll post the dates on the site, and hopefully get a big crowd going....
December 27th at The Workman's Club was in aid of Annette Covey's (Fletterz's partner) birthday and Christmas kind of thing - her birthday being on Christmas Day !! It was a PRIVATE INVITATIONS only party, issued by Annette or Dave in advance, so the audience wasn't that big. United We Fall headlined after Air Balloon, so it was a good line up but due to sound monitors everything was waaaay to quiet, and the bands found problems in getting into the music due to these problems, but other that that it was a cool gig.
Daryll Martin's 18th party is Febuary 18th I think, but not too sure - United We Fall will be playing along with The Malcontents so that should be a cool gig. (This has now been complicated as I have heard that The Malcontents have split...)
The Polish Club gigs are in January and March, but I don't actually know too much about them right now... The Riffs Bar and Wheatsheaf gigs are hopefully going to be within these times, Riffs to be arranged with Air Balloon and Faz has to work on some links to hopefully play at The Wheatsheaf in Old Town... That's about it for now I think........
Riffs bar was pretty cool last Wednesday although Mini had a bit of a cold so his voice wasn't that great. Suzilix played first and then United We Fall and there was quite a lot of people there so it was all in all a pretty cool night....
The band night went really well, loads of money was raised for charity, and everyoe had a good time. Taebo finnished earyl with the singer running off stage and throwing up, and Millard supposedly pissed on a school wall (slightly made up though)... Can't wait till next year...
If you haven't heard yet, the gig at The Ridgeway School is this Friday, so I'm expecting to see all of you guys / gals / inbetweenies there!! You can buy tickets off some people in the school, such as Dave and Mini Flett and Amy Marland... Tickets are £4 and we have convinced AnyDayNow to come so it should be amazing, and I want to see everyone buying their EP because it's good!!!! 5 bands - Vector, Teabo, United We Fall, AnyDayNow and the infamous Air Balloon, you can also buy tickets at the door, which opens at 7:00pm and the night should finnish around 11 ish onwards...
The Polish Club gig went really well, after much confusion, un - orginisation, exescive alcahol and playing first, United We Fall played suprisingly well. There was so much more energy than any of their other gigs, a new and permantent idea, with things such as Mini walking off the stage and around the floor singing "Will there ever be anything" on Same Old Story. The night was a great one, shame Mini and Millard couldn't remeber too much of it, both throwing up in style........ The band played all of their latest songs, and their set was much heavier than usual, United We Fall are introducing much more emo music with Mini screaming etc, as it is much better to play live and stuff so go to their next gig (October 3rd at The Ridgeway School band night - confirmed), and see what the new heavier material sounds like.... See you there!
United We Fall are definately set to be playing at The Polish Club on Saturday 13th... There is a big party there for Leanne and there's meant to be loads of other bands and people there, so if you can make it, try to.... The Polish Club is at Queens Drive in Park South so if you want to go, just turn up (not quite sure what time though...)
Also, we are currently arranging a gig with Riffs Bar again, which should be cool but I don't quite know what's going on with that, they're going to get back to us (hopefully..) Also we will be playing at The Ridgeway School "Battle Of The Bands" soon unless if we can change the date, as if it stands as the 19th of September, Mini and Millard won't be able to go as they will be going to see Rancid in London!!!!
Ramsbury gig out the way, and probably for the best as it was kind of scary with the comedian- youths at the back being dick heads throughout the gig... Oh well, the gig seemed to go alrite though, and we sold a few more EPs which is cool, and if you want to see the photos, check the Photo Page (which I think is now full) for the whole three photos (courtosy of Trace)... Cheers Suzilix, etc!!
United We Fall have played the Chiseldon Socail Centre gig, and it was pretty cool for everyone I think, we definately enjoyed it. After the gig United We Fall were asked to play there on Boxing Day, so that should be ace aswell and we'll hopefully get loads of you going...... Trace filmed the gig which we haven't yet heard or seen, but apparently the sound is a bit dodgy as we were quite loud, but that should still be pretty cool to check out. The Longest Hour went down really well, and seemed to get one of the biggest cheers I think, so that was good news too, and a few more of the EPs were sold so all- in- all it was a good gig and we can't wait till Boxing Day...
United We Fall have recently made up a new song called The Longest Hour, you can find lyrics for it on the Lyrics Page. It has a heavier emo style to the song compared to the rest of their songs, and will be played at The Chiseldon Social Centre at their gig on August 9th if you want to check it out. Also there is another new song with no name yet which is yet to be confirmed to be played at Chiseldon, which should be pretty cool...
United We Fall played their gig at The Ridgeway School on Friday the 18th of July, and it went pretty well. The band played their new song "Same Old Story" which seemed to go down quite well, I know Gabe liked it!!! Also, "Until You Give In" was released, and we sold all 50 copies, even the head teacher Miss. Cooper bought one!!?! Mr. Mc Meeking ended up buying a signed copy by all the band for £5, which led onto a signing sesion by everyone and band pics, etc.- in all it was a load of fun and hopefully we'll be asked back soon!!
United We Fall are playing they're first charity gig on the 18th of July at The Ridgeway School. This will be the release date for "Until You Give In" with the new improved lyrics by Mini, and maybe even the albulm designs if we get round to it (which you can see some of on the Photo Page)... It will all be for Free The Children, and we will be playing at a 50p entrance, and will be selling the "Until You Give In" for £1. All of the money raised will go to charity, so it's all for a good cause. Contributions will also be able to be made throughout the day. They will be playing around 12:30 ish, so turn up around then if you're going... Hopefully see you there.
Mini Flett is going back to the recording studio on Thursday 3rd July to re- do the vocals for "Until You Give In". The previous vocals were not at all up to standard, as United We Fall had just played at Riffstock and he was suffering from a cold. We appologise for inconvenience, as the EP is taking it's time to be released, but you can definately expect to see it in a couple of weeks, with better vocals.
United We Fall have got offered a gig at Chiseldon Social Centre on the 9TH OF AUGUST (new date)!! It will be at around 8pm (ish) and we want as much support as possible. If you are interested, then contact the band (if you want to e- mail, then e- mail minime133@hotmail.com), as we will have to send a list of all of the people going, and when you enter, they will sign off your name. Obviously we will make up a couple of spare names incase, but it would be easiest if you let us know. Cool, hopefully catch you there...
United We Fall's gig at the Crudwell 24 hour bike ride on Saturday 7th June wasn't United We Fall's best gig, but got slightly better in the second half... The gig probably didn't go too well because Millard had had a few too many and forgot half of the riffs, Mini's lyrics were getting blown round everywhere, they didn't have a set list, so were picking songs randomly, and they forgot to bring the third mike stand, so Gary and Millard were swapping the mike stand around throughout the gig...
The EP/ Demo CD "Until You Give In" has been recorded!! It was done on Tuesday the 27th of May, and is the first official copyrighted CD that United We Fall are set to release soon. It will be free, and given out at gigs to all you fans who want to check it out and show your mates, but there is still confusion about what to do with it, as there is 6 tracks, but they will give off a 4 track as the EP. One idea was the first 100 copies given out will be the 6 track, and the rest will be the 4 track... This is yet to be confirmed. The 6 tracks recorded were (in order): The Ska Song, Give In, First Breath, Out Of Date, Lazy Infection and a new edition of 6 Minute Bass. It was all done in the one day, everyone had a great laugh, and although there were worries about Mini's voice being OK after being so shortly after Riffstock, the CD seems to be quite good!!! Watch out for it, as it will soon be released when we have extensively copied it, etc.!!!
Riffstock festival on Saturday done, which wasn't the best being early in the morning with not much atmosphere, but we still had a good time and experience, and had an offering to play with "Another Day Gone". Also, we have a new photographer under our wings...
New Photographer!!! Would fans please welcome the band's new official photographer, Andy Trace. Andy has been a fan of the band since the start, and is now part of the team, well done Andy!!! Hopefully this means that there should be photos coming up on the site in the not too distant future!!
Riffstock was held at Riffs Bar, and was quite good, but because of the early slot, the atmosphere wasn't very good (probably because no one was drunk!).
Further gigs, etc. will be added when we know.
